About the program
During starup Windows 95/98 runs many programs and services. You may even don’t know about it, but they take the memory as well as procesor’s time. Moreover they can cause the system’s stability lose. You can turn them off, but it’s uncomfortable. You can get rid of them, but sometimes you need their services. Now there is WSM to solve your problems. It will allow you to create “profiles” containing any autostart elements and every other program or document. During system startup just choose the profile you want, and that’s it. Many programs will like the possibility of running them on a clean system what, on common system, can give you 6 MB more memory ! But that’s not all ! WSM allows you to run any program as the ONLY process on the system (even without Explorer or any other shell) what can give you even more then 10 MB and much higher stability. This option is a “must have” for any PC gamer.

About KPS
KPS (Kids Protection System) allows you to control what application your kids can run. You can create a list of programs. If KPS is enabled a password dialog will appear during startup. If the user don’t know the KPS password, he/she will be only able to run one program from the list. The program will be run on a clean system (without shell) so it will be impossible to run anything else.
You can also set the system password. Without it it will be even impossible to run anything from KPS list.
KPS is a part of Windows Startup Manager, but it is also available as GateKeeper with more advanced features concerning system access and running applications on a clean system.

The program is generally designed for two purposes:

To run applications on a clean system. Running anything on a clean system (without system shell such as Explorer) has many benefits: more memory, bigger stability and often better performance. Gate Keeper allows to create a list of items (programs, multimedia clips, documents….). During system startup a dialog appears. -From then you can start Windows normally or run any set of items on a clean system.
To restrict access to the system. You can create program groups. Each group has its own password. During system startup the user is asked for password. If the user knows only a group’s password, it will be only possible to run item(s) from the group on a clean system (so it is impossible to run anything else). Administrator’s password gives access to all items or system, and system password gives access to the system.

Registry nodes and files may be added to a saved ignore list the same files are not visually analyzed each run. A registry import file is created to provide a record of changes and an Undo capability.
